A jealous boyfriend hit and kicked the windscreen of his girlfriend’s car while she was driving him home.
Christian Bullock then ran up and hit her Micra’s passenger window after she had ordered him to get out.
You behaved in a disgraceful fashion. The car was moving and she was frightened
Bullock, a 27-year-old electrician, of Bertrand Avenue, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to causing damage.
District Judge Alexandra Simmonds, sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court, told him: “You behaved in a disgraceful fashion. The car was moving and she was frightened.”
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said Bullock had been drinking with friends and then went to a casino with his girlfriend.
Bullock had been asked to leave the casino because he had had too much to drink. As his girlfriend drove him home he asked about a friend of hers he was jealous of.
He then started kicking and hitting the windscreen until it cracked, before getting out and damaging the passenger window.
Peter Manning, defending, said his client had been upset because his father had been ill. Bullock was remorseful. He was unsure where the relationship with his girlfriend would go.
He was sentenced to a 21-day tagged curfew and ordered to pay £177 compensation, a £150 court charge, £85 costs plus £60 victims’ surcharge.
