A pensioner was three times over the alcohol limit for driving when he was tested by police, a court has been told.
John Gregson, 71, of Knowsley Crescent, Weeton, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol before a magistrates’ court.
The court was told that on December 18 Gregson was seen driving a Honda Jazz on the A583.
A breath test showed 105 micrograms of alcohol in his body – 35 microgrammes is the limit.
He had two previous convictions for drink-driving, the judge heard.
Gregson had his case adjourned for pre- sentence reports by District Judge Jeff Brailsford sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
He will return for sentencing at a later date.
