A man who started taking drugs after his child was stillborn was found with cocaine.
Todd Ashford was discovered with the drug after being arrested for taking a moped.
Ashford, 23, at Dickson Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to taking a moped without consent and possessing cocaine.
He was sentenced to a four weeks curfew from 8pm to 6am and ordered to pay £200 compensation with £40 costs plus £60 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
Brett Chappell, defending, said the day of the offences marked the anniversary of the loss of Ashford’s child who was stillborn.
He had not taken any drugs since the offence and was now getting specialist help for his problem.
