A BIKER has been charged with causing the death a young mother-of-two and her partner on a rural Fylde road.

Daren Luis Leslie, 35, was riding a Suzuki bike when it was involved in a collision with fellow motorcyclist Patrick Cresswell and his pillion passenger Suzanne Smith on Mythop Road, near Weeton.

Leslie yesterday made his first court appearance charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

Mr Cresswell, 46, and passenger Ms Smith, 25, both died as a result.

Leslie, of Rectory Road, Marton, is accused of causing their deaths by dangerous driving following the crash which happened on September 9 last year.

Ms Smith – a mother of two daughters aged three and seven- and Mr Creswell died at the scene of the crash, which also involved a tractor.

Leslie appeared before Blackpool Magistrates who sent the case to Preston Crown Court.

Leslie was bailed and will appear the higher court on June 20.

The tragic couple lived together on Newhouse Road, Marton.
