A best man on a stag do in Blackpool attacked a mother and her teenage daughter. Arsaf Mahmood spat in the mum’s face and punched her, bursting her nose, then thumped the 17-year-old daughter to the back of the head knocking her to the ground.
Mahmood, a 30-year-old nightshift worker, of Highlow View, Brinsworth, Rotherham, pleaded guilty to two offences of assault.
He was sentenced to 12 weeks’ jail suspended for 12 months, with up to 15 days’ rehabilitation to be supervised by the Probation Service, ordered to do 80 hours’ unpaid work for the community and to pay £500 compensation to the victims with £115 victims’ surcharge, by Blackpool magistrates.
Suzanne Mugford, defending, said Mahmood had pleaded guilty at the first opportunity and shown remorse.
