A bar worker who stalked his ex and threatened to kill her has avoided being sent to prison.
Daniel Boothman, 31, of South King Street, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to harassment and possessing amphetamine.
He was sentenced to 12 months’ supervision and ordered to pay £60 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates, who said the drugs must be destroyed.
Chrissie Hunt, prosecuting, said Boothman sent his former girlfriend a number of nasty texts between September 12 and 16. He told her he had nothing to lose and he would kill her. When police came to question him, he lied about his identity and told officers that Boothman was out playing pool.
David Charnley, defending, said Boothman now understood their relationship was over.
