A man who was banned from contacting his partner was found asleep in his underpants at her home after drinking.

Brian Hindle, 37, of Meyler Avenue, Layton, admitted breach of bail.

Blackpool magistrates agreed to rebail him.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said Hindle had been bailed on the condition he did not contact his girlfriend or go within 100 metres of Chain Lane, Staining, where she lived.

On April 10 Hindle’s girlfriend called police and said he was at her home causing problems.

Police found him asleep in his underwear in an upstairs bedroom.

He was extremely drunk. It was his second breach of bail, the court heard.

Steven Townley, defending, said the couple had three children and Hindle’s partner had phoned asking him to go round.

He had had a drink beforehand because he was nervous about a court appearance.

His partner was unhappy he had been drinking because he was a recovering alcoholic.
