Attack terror left victim scared to go out again

Waiting for Video...

This is the woman police want to speak to in connection with a horror attack at a Fylde coast nightclub.

The victim has been left fearing she is permanently scarred.

Becky Porter, 30, told The
Gazette how she feels lucky to still have her
eyesight after a woman reveller threw the glass in her face at The Cube nightclub, in
Poulton.

The assault took place in the early hours of Sunday,
July 27, on the ground floor of The Cube, near the dance floor.

It is believed the victim accidentally bumped into another woman who then threw a glass at her face.

Ms Porter sustained a deep wound to her cheek which required hospital
treatment.

It is also believed the
attacker left through the ground floor exit doors on to Breck Road immediately after the assault. She is described as a woman with an athletic build, approximately 5ft 6in tall and with dark hair.

Police have now released CCTV images of a person they would like to speak to in connection with the offence.

Det Cons Mark Anson, of Blackpool CID, said: “I would urge people to take a close look at the CCTV image and let us know if they have any information about the identity of the woman.

“I would like to reiterate this was a cowardly and unprovoked attack.

“The victim was enjoying a night out with her friends and the attack must have been
extremely frightening.

“We are still appealing for anybody who may have witnessed the assault or who could assist with our ongoing investigations to contact
police on 101 quoting crime reference number BC1408173.”
