A man accused of threatening to burn a man’s face off with an iron during an assault has made his first appearance in court.
Ashley Grundy and another man are alleged to have repeatedly punched and kicked a man at his flat in Kirkgate, Kirkham, on May 18 this year.
Grundy, 22, of Spa Road, Preston, pleaded not guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm and asked for his trial to take place at crown court.
Defence lawyer Paolo Passerini’s application for bail for Grundy was not opposed by prosecutor Alison Quanbrough.
Grundy was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on August 27 by Blackpool magistrates. He was banned from entering Kirkham as a condition of his bail.
