A man is stopped on the streets of Blackpool by police virtually every day of his life, Blackpool Magistrates were told.
Jason Kear is the subject of a strict Asbo which police believe he is constantly breaching.
Kear, 42, of Shaftesbury Avenue, Blackpool admitted stealing £22.41 of gammon steaks from Tesco. He was fined £70.
Martine Connah, prosecuting, told the court that police watched Kear walk through the streets and appeared to have something hidden under his jacket.
When he was searched officers found the meat.
His lawyer told the court that Kear had just been released from jail and was not on state benefits.
He said:”My client who has only one eye, so is well known to police, they stop him almost every day. He leads a miserable existence blighted by drug addiction.”
