POLICE are appealing for more information regarding a break in at a Fleetwood shop.

Damage was caused to the exterior of The Cheque Centre, on Lord Street, during the break in, but nothing appeared to have been taken.

It is believed the break in happened some time between 2.30am and 3.30am on July 11.

Police believe the offenders approached the rear of the building, removing security bars and a window in order to get into the kitchen.

PC Kelly Saddler, of Fleetwood Police, said: “It’s likely the offenders will have been disturbed by the alarm system and so I would appeal to anyone who may have seen or heard anything around the time of the offence or to anyone who may have noticed and suspicious activity in the area leading up to the break in to contact us.”

Officers investigating are asking anyone with information or who thinks they may be able to help to come forward.

Information can be passed to police calling 101 or by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
