Appeal after hospital break-in

Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Blackpool Victoria Hospital

POLICE are appealing for information after 100 blank prescriptions were stolen from Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

The two pads of prescriptions were stolen after someone broke into an office at the Macmillan Windmill Unit at the hospital some time between noon on Sunday March 10 and 7.15am the following day.

Some of the prescriptions have since been recovered, however a large number are still missing.

Anyone who comes across any of the stolen prescriptions is urged to contact the police.

Sgt Mark Dickinson, of Blackpool Police, said: “We have spoken to all pharmacies in the area and have asked them to be vigilant to people fraudulently using these prescriptions.

“If anybody comes across or is offered any of these blank prescriptions I would urge them to contact police.”

Three men from Blackpool have been arrested in connection with the investigation and are currently in police custody.

Anybody with any information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.

No personal details are taken and information is not traced or recorded.
