A WOMAN has been left distraught after raiders broke into her caravan and escaped with jewellery.

Some of the items stolen in the break-in at Preesall’s Willow Grove Park are said to hold “great sentimental value”, and police are appealing for information to help return the items to their rightful owner.

The thieves searched two bedrooms in the caravan and stole items including a bird detail gold locket, a rose gold bracelet, four Pandora bracelets – two amber, one blue and one red – and a gold diamond bracelet.

PC Rachel Bibby said: “Many of the items stolen hold great sentimental value to the owner and we want to do all we can to reunite her with them.

“If anybody has any information about this burglary or knows where any of these items of jewellery are now then I would urge them to contact police.

“Equally, if anybody saw anyone acting suspiciously in the Willow Grove Park area between 2pm on Saturday 2 February and 4.10pm on Wednesday 6 February then please let us know.”

Four round medals made up of bronze, silver and gold and inlaid with “Manchester Arms” were also taken.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
