An addict was found with hypodermic needles and heroin when he was stopped in the street by police.
Andrew Walsh had reverted to taking street drugs at the time because his prescription for the heroin substitute methadone had been stopped.
Walsh, 31, of Adstone Avenue, Grange Park, pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and breaching a conditional discharge for shoplifting.
He was fined £70 and ordered to pay £20 victims’ surcharge at Blackpool Magistrates Court (pictured above).
Martine Connah, prosecuting, said police stopped Walsh on Garstang Road, Kirkham, on June 19 at 10.45pm.
He took two needles from his pocket and put them on a wall.
He also had a small plastic bag with heroin powder in it.
