A COUPLE accused of plying a 15-year-old girl with drugs in order to sexually molest her have had their committal to crown court delayed.

Adam Baxter, 29, and Paula Brannan, 24, both formerly of Gorton Street, Blackpool, now living at Warley Road, North Shore, are each charged with grooming the teenager and giving drugs to her with the intention of committing a sexual offence.

They are also accused of engaging in sexual activity in front of her for the purpose of their own sexual gratification and possessing amphetamine with intent to supply the drug.

Brannan is further charged with sexually touching the teenager and Baxter with making an indecent picture of the girl.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at the defendants’ former flat between June 4 and 24 last year.

The defendants’ lawyers asked for an adjournment to consider the legal papers.

Both defendants were bailed to April 23 by District Judge Huw Edwards sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court. They must not have children under 16 at their address except for members of their families as a condition of their bail.
