Thanks to a funding grant obtained primarily from the SITA Trust, the park now boasts a range of new play equipment including a rotating climbing frame, a bikey springer and a speed gyro.

Mr Lee, who represented Waterloo ward, died in 2014 after falling ill on holiday.

The new facilities were made possible after the Friends of Watson Road Park submitted a bid to the SITA Trust for funding to upgrade play equipment.
