A Blackpool man hasn't been seen since leaving a hospital in Greater Manchester almost a week ago.

Police said they are "growing increasingly concerned" for David McGreavy and this evening appealed for the public's help in finding the 27-year-old.

Mr McGreavy was last seen at the Cheadle Royal Hospital in Heald Green at 1.20pm last Monday, a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.

He is originally from Blackpool, still has connections here and may have tried to travel to the resort, it is believed.

Sgt James Whitlock, of Blackpool Police, said: "We are getting increasingly worried about David and I would urge anyone who sees him or knows where he might be to get in touch with us."

Only a small picture of Mr McGreavy has been released, but he was described as white with short brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey top, dark jeans, a three-quarter length desert camouflage jacket and grey plimsoles.

Anybody with information has been asked to call police on 101, quoting log number 1452 of March 21.
