A pub worker called police names and squared up to an officer after his friend was arrested.

Lee Wilson, 27, of Lytham Road, South Shore, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said the incident happened on August 19 at 5.25am.

Police arrested Wilson on Talbot Road after he was abusive. Wilson fought with officers and had to be restrained on the floor.

Wilson told magistrates he had had a rough couple of years with his grandmother and grandfather dying and him being stabbed in the neck. The doctor had now referred him to Alcoholic Anonymous. He was given a 12 months conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs plus £15 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
