Two Christmas trees in Bispham village blown over by the severe weather conditions.

Council erected trees in Bispham Village opposite The Albion pub were blown over in the strong winds on Wednesday.

Christmas trees in Bispham village gave in to strong winds on Wednesday evening.

The 10ft trees contained in concrete pots in the Red Bank Road car park were blown over by a gust of wind.

One passerby said: “The trees look really funny, they were blocking large parts of the car park.

“They have been blown over by the strong winds but they are still all lit up.

“It’s a bit of a shame really I hope they can be fixed before Christmas.”

Police from the nearby police station had visited the scene and coned off the area.
