Shakespeare declared that ‘All the world’s a stage’...and Showtime Theatre School has chosen a little corner of it on the Fylde coast as the backdrop for its latest
summer school.

The new community-based drama club offers workshops to students aged 8-16, suitable for all levels, from beginners through
to more experienced
performers.

The summer school, which runs from Monday August 4 to Friday, August 8, will involve students learning the importance of working as a team ensure a successful production.

The five-day scheme will finish with a grand finale – a performance of The Demon Headmaster by Gillian Cross at 7.30pm at Thornton Little Theatre.

Run by drama director Roz Bendelow and publicity consultant Kirstie
Niland, the programme aims to give students the opportunity to develop individual acting talent and confidence and provide them with backstage experience, including set design, costume, make-up and props.

Roz said: “Showtime
Theatre School will deliver an experience to remember, and an escape from the
boredom of the school
holidays.

“The workshops offer the chance to make new friends, increase self-esteem and learn a variety of theatrical skills.”

Students can apply online at www.showtime-theatreschool.co.uk, or by emailing showtimetheatreschool@hotmail.com
