A LOVABLE pet is looking for a new home after her owners handed her in to the RSPCA.

Amber, a 10-year-old staffie cross, is being looked after by the animal charity for the second time in five years because her elderly owners have become unwell.

A spokeswoman for the RSPCA said: “Amber’s previous owner’s home has deteriorated and they can no longer look after her.

“She likes other dogs and is good with children, although she has never lived with any, she has been introduced to a few and is really good with them.”

The RSPCA would prefer Amber to be re-homed with a family who have a garden.

She loves going on short walks and has been given a full health check-up, all of her relevant vaccinations and is micro-chipped to help new owners find her if she goes missing.

Re-homing Amber will cost £70 and more information can be found by calling (01253) 763991.
