Volunteer rangers install the bins in Garstang

Volunteer rangers have helped to install four new rubbish bins along the riverside in Garstang.

The Wyre Council team had the multi-purpose bins in place, near High Street car park and the cricket pitch, within a morning and completed the day by strimming the path along the old railway line and cutting back over hanging branches.

The bins were installed in time for the many visitors who visit the town in summer and enjoy a picnic down by the river.

Incidents ranging from fly tipping to burn out cars and littering can all be reported to Wyre Council online by logging on to www.wyre.gov.uk
