A children’s charity has launched a new way to donate clothing and support youngsters.

The NSPCC has teamed up with Clothes Aid to help people donate quality, reusable clothing to raise money to end child cruelty.

Teams will be delivering information about the scheme to residents on the Fylde coast in the new year.

Along with an NSPCC Clothes Aid collection bag, residents will receive a tailor-made NSPCC Clothes Aid 2014 collection calendar.

It highlights monthly dates, starting in January 2014, so they can see when collection teams are in the area.

Blackpool has its own service centre, on Plymouth Road, which opened last year to support children and families across Lancashire.

Residents can donate anything from quality clothes, paired shoes, linens, accessories including hats, belts, bags, soft toys, books, electronic games, DVDs and CDs.

For more information regarding collections, please call the Clothes Aid helpline on 020 7288 8545 or www.clothesaid.co.uk.
