Customers at a Fylde coast supermarket will no longer have to make sure they have a £1 coin or token to use a shopping trolley.
Morrisons in Kirkham is removing all trolley locks in response to customer feedback, which has called for quicker and easier shopping trips.
Martin Wood, store general manager, said: “Our nation is getting busier and we have less free time than previous generations. Customers told us they want a quicker shop. The removal of trolley locks is just one of the many improvements we are making to our store.”
At Morrisons across the country, 150,000 locks will be removed from stores this July. Other work will include the redesign of stores, extending opening hours, and improvements to toilet facilities.
