A woman described as drinking herself into an early grave appeared at court for the 16th time this year for drunkenness.

Antonia Marshall, who said any money she got she spent on booze, has 43 previous convictions on her record for being drunk.

Marshall, 33, of Station Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.

She was fined £35 and ordered to pay £20 victims’ surcharge by District Judge Pamela Baldwin sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

Brett Chappell, defending, said: “Her case is the worst example of alcohol addiction I have ever seen in any of my clients.”
