Work has begun on a total refurbishment of the Teanlowe car park in Poulton to prepare for the building of a new Booths store.

Wyre Council is reassuring the public and businesses that measures have been agreed with Booths to keep disruption to a minimum.

The work will be carried out in phases to avoid complete closure, while the site compound has been situated in Hardhorn car park to free up more spaces. In addition, the contractor has been asked to stop work in early December until the New Year so that Christmas trade is not affected.
