People of Blackpool are being asked to spare some Christmas cheer and volunteer for an animal charity.

The PDSA charity store on Abingdon Street, Blackpool, urgently need strong volunteers to help collect vital stock donations from the town with the charity’s van driver.

Store manager Joanna Hastie said: “We are desperate to fill this vital role that helps us collect stock from local supporters’ homes in the area. The volunteer would need to be available for at least two days a week and be able to handle large or heavy items.

“Volunteering for PDSA enables people to add valuable new skills to their CV and meet a host of new people. I would urge anyone who is passionate about pets and who has some spare time to give to contact us.”

Call the National Volunteering Centre on 0800 854194 or visit www.pdsa.org.uk/volunteering.
