An ambulance cadet made an ‘unforgettable’ visit to Buckingham Palace and met
Princess Anne.

Holly Neild, from Blackpool, a St John Ambulance cadet, was one of more than 100 youngsters invited to London to visit the palace and meet HRH The Princess Royal.

The event honoured St John Ambulance Badgers, cadets, and young carers who have all made outstanding contributions during their time as young volunteers with the organisation.

Princess Anne – who has the official title of Commandant in Chief for St John Ambulance - stopped to discuss Holly’s experiences as a volunteer.

Holly, 17, said: “I’m so happy to have been invited to the Young Achievers’ Reception.

“I love being part of St John Ambulance anyhow but meeting Her Royal Highness is something I’ll never forget.”
