Raiders broke into a warehouse on a Fylde industrial estate and stole a huge haul of hair products worth almost £60,000.

Police have today launched an appeal following the theft in Poulton.

Detectives believe three people were involved in the break-in at the CoolBlades industrial unit on Bracewell Avenue, on the town’s main
industrial estate.

During the raid, which took place in the early hours of a morning earlier this month, more than £58,000 of stock, including hair dryers, hair straighteners, professional hair scissors and clippers, was stolen and remains
outstanding.

It is believed two of the gang broke into the unit and loaded the items into a white Transit van which had been waiting outside and was being driven by a third member of the gang.

Police now want residents across the Fylde coast to be aware of the items that have been stolen – as they believe efforts may now be made to sell the stolen goods on.

Det Sgt Kathryn Riley, who is leading the investigation into the burglary, said: “If anybody has any information which they think could assist our investigation then I would urge them to come forward.

“If anybody noticed any suspicious activity in the area on the night in question then please contact us.

“I would also ask people to look carefully at the photographs of some of the products which have been stolen.

“If you think you may have been offered these or noticed these for sale anywhere recently we would like to hear from you.” The theft happened between 1.15am and 4.30am on Tuesday, June 10, but details were only released by the police yesterday.

Anybody with any information can contact police on 101, quoting log number LC-20140610-0252, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.

In total, 35 pairs of Curiliss hair straighteners 21 pairs of Diva hair straighteners, 29 Parlux hairdryers and Elite spray tan unit, various Babyliss products including hairdryers hair straighteners and curling tongs, 350 pairs Glamtech scissors, 332 pairs of jaguar scissors, 22 pairs of Joewell scissors, 100 pairs DMI scissors and 48 sets of Wahl clippers were taken in the raid.
