Another Fylde coast area has moved its meetings with police officials under the Police and Communities Together (PACT) banner from monthly to quarterly.
St Annes’ Heyhouses ward has followed neighbouring Central in switching to a quarterly format.
While Central officials made the switch earlier this year, in a bid to encourage greater attendance by local residents, Heyhouses chairman Coun Viv Willder says the move from monthly briefings has been made in her ward because of police availability – and has vowed to make the best of the situation.
“It is the way it is and we have to get on with the new arrangement,” said Coun Willder, who sits on both Fylde and St Annes town councils.
The first Heyhouses PACT meeting under the new arrangement is at Fylde Scouts HQ, Heyhouses Lane, on Wednesday, July 2, at 7pm.
