YOUNG cheerleaders worked flipping hard to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.
Pupils from Blackpool Scorpions took part in a sponsored tumble at Palatine Sports College in South Shore which saw them working through a gruelling hour of exercise.
The children did somersaults and backflips solidly for the hour in a bid to help raise money for the cancer charity.
Yvonne Bailey, who is fund-raising for a year to help raise money after the death of a close friend, said: “I am very grateful to Blackpool Scorpions for their efforts, they worked very hard.
“My friend’s two daughters Elle and Lauren Burgoyne wanted to do something to help with my fund-raising and they both train with Scorpions.
Coaches were more than happy to help, so far we have raised £100 and there’s still more sponsor money to come in.
“Huge thanks go to coaches Jenna Robinson and Luke Vincent who pulled out all the stops to help us.”
