PETER Kay is to perform two special charity gigs in Blackpool next week.
The comedian takes to the stage at the Opera House on Thursday and Friday in aid of the Billie Butterfly Fund – a charity set up to help four-year-old Billie Bainbridge who has an inoperable brain tumour.
Phoenix Nights star Kay is a firm favourite in the resort after performing his now legendary Top Of The Tower gig in the 1990s and then as host of the Royal Variety Show at the Opera House in 2009.
He today said on his website: “The tour is officially over but as you’ll no doubt understand I felt compelled to do these extra nights.
“So if you fancy coming along the tickets go on sale on Monday.”
Tickets can be bought now, through www.gigsandtours.com or by calling 0844 811 0051.
