A mass car wash organised by the region’s firefighters has raised hundreds of pounds for the lifesaving force.

The annual events see crews from the Fylde coast’s station clean vehicles in return for a
donation to the Firefighters Charity.

And Saturday saw the latest car wash take place at Fleetwood Fire Station.

Crew Manager Warrick said: “We managed to wash 110 cars on the day and raise a fantastic £605 which was really pleasing, and we’d just like to thank everyone who came down and showed their support.”

Clare Morris, fund-raising co-ordinator, said: “This event rounds off a smashing season of charity fund-raising for the organisation and we would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has showed us their support.”
