Wearing a baseball cap and beige polo shirt, the 36-year-old smiled as passers-by of all ages pulled out their phones for a quick snap.

Best, who was born in California and grew up in Los Angeles before moving to the UK when he was 21, has appeared in a number of reality TV shows, and is perhaps as well known for dating actress Lindsay Lohan.

His dad wore the famous number seven shirt for United and won a slew of trophies, including the European Cup in 1968.

Regarded as one of the finest footballing talents in history, George was equally as famous for his antics off the pitch.
