FYLDE civil servants are set to stage another walkout as part of national industrial action by members of the PCS (Public and Commercial Services) union.

Industrial action is planned for Friday, April 5 at 1pm.

It follows on from a day-long strike on Wednesday, March 20 in a dispute over pay and conditions.

Duncan Griffiths, branch secretary of the PCS at the Department of Work and Pensions, at Norcross, said: “The PCS’s report Britain needs a pay rise shows since the recession the real value of wages has fallen by seven per cent, or more than £50bn a year.”
