THE biggest hotel and catering show in Lancashire has been confirmed as a sellout just days before the event opens its doors to the trade at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.
And Bispham-based organisers, the Consortium of Events and Tourism, has a double reason to celebrate as it has also sold out its sister event in Carlisle a week later.
The Lancashire Hotel, Catering and Hospitality Exhibition returns to Blackpool’s Winter Gardens for a second year on April 6 and 7, with 169 stands, giving the local tourism and hospitality trade a kickstart to the new season with Easter just around the corner.
More than 5,000 trade visitors are expected to pass through the doors over the two days offering exhibitors and show sponsors a vital opportunity to meet with both customers and potential clients and a chance to showcase their products.
The exhibition is free to enter for trade visitors and will be open from 10.30am to 6.30pm on Wednesday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Thursday.
Tickets can be pre-booked and downloaded from the website www.lancashire-show.co.uk.
Organiser Mike Riches said: “To sell out the show is great news and reinforces out opinion that a town like Blackpool should have its own major catering trade show. And many of our Fylde coast exhibitors will be following us to Carlisle a week later for the Cumbria and South Scotland Hotel, Catering and Hospitality Expo, which has also sold out, so we’re delighted.”
