YOU’VE heard of a footballer’s luxury lifestyle ... well this is a football chairman’s idea of luxurious living.
Fleetwood Town FC chairman Andy Pilley is set to open the doors to his five star apartments in Poulton.
The businessman’s Breck Short Stay Apartments are set to open in the market town this month, offering a five-star stay.
Mr Pilley said: “The standard of the apartments will have a real wow factor. It’s a really exciting project.
“Blackpool gets a lot of visitors but this will be unique.”
The red brick building on the corner of Breck Road and Lockwood Avenue has had £1.2m invested in it by Mr Pilley’s company, AJP Properties.
Each of the 12 apartments features unique decor and state-of-the-art technology while some have stand alone baths or spa bathrooms to ensure guests have a stay to remember.
Others boast views out over Poulton and up to the Trough of Bowland, with prices ranging from £135-£185 per night.
Mr Pilley added: “We’ve restored the traditional building in all its glory.
“It will certainly boost the local economy.”
Bosses hope the apartments will bring a new wave of tourism to the area, as well as offering residents’ friends and family somewhere special to stay.
They are also anticipating high demand from locals wanting to impress visitors to the area.
Paul Cook, who heads the project management and investment property portfolio for AJP Properties, said the recent unveiling of a shop, to house the apartments’ office and reception further up Breck Road, has already sparked a lot of interest which he hoped would continue.
