A Blackpool-born solicitor has become one of the youngest to be offered equity partnership by a commercial law firm.
Lucas Griffiths, 26, has been welcomed as a partner in the commercial department by Chester law firm RGK Law LLP.
He has been offered a leading role with RGK having previously worked as the head of commercial law at Alan Roberts & Co Solicitors.
Commercial law firms generally offer partnerships to people who have been in the profession for more than 10 years, usually aged well into their 40s, but Lucas believes that a solicitors age is only a number.
He said: “Clients are seldom concerned with how old their lawyer is.
“As a Higher Rights Solicitor, I regularly act for chief executives, directors, companies and even actors.
“I am often against solicitors and barristers with 20 plus years of experience.
“When we leave the courtroom with a successful result, do you think my client wishes he instructed someone older?”
Lucas received his training from solicitor Alan Roberts who was the first solicitor in the country to bring a discrimination claim before an employment tribunal.
Alan Roberts said: “Lucas has been involved in numerous high profile cases and received some fantastic results for his clients.”
