Integrated into the South Stand of the stadium, the new hotel boasts 70 bedrooms including luxury suites, family bedrooms and with views of the pitch.

In addition the hotel is offering 14 hospitality boxes for match day packages.

General manager Sam Oyston, son of Pool chairman Karl, said: “The new hotel is going to be a very welcome addition to the quality accommodation portfolio for Blackpool and will undoubtedly bring extra business and jobs into the town.

“The hotel will enable the club to widen its appeal as a conference and events destination as the existing West Stand development already has a very successful track record of hosting meetings, weddings and parties.”

Local chef Paul Rowley will be providing the hospitality in the new South Stand including a new restaurant on the 2nd floor called Rowley’s.
The opening will be followed by a centenary game between Blackpool and Chorley at 7pm as the team were the first ever opponents of the then newly founded Blackpool FC in 1887, with the Seasiders winning 2-1 on that occasion.
