AN urban regeneration company responsible for delivering a £220m project in Blackpool has posted a positive set of preliminary results.

Muse Developments and its parent company Morgan Sindall Group plc posted profit before tax results of £47.1m in 2012, a £1.8m improvement on 2011.

Muse is currently working in partnership with Blackpool Council to deliver the £175m Talbot Gateway central business district scheme which will create new retail, commercial and hotel space in addition to town centre parking and transport facilities around Blackpool North Station.

Mike Horner, director for the North West, said: “Muse had another strong year in the North West in 2012, bucking the trend once again in the face of a challenging market.”
