Six figures salaries are usually the preserve of investment bankers or business entrepreneurs but down under it’s also blue collar workers earning a fortune, some as much as £150,000 a year.

Paul Arthur, director of migration advisors The Emigration Group said: “The average wage for a blue collar worker in Australia is about $5,200 dollars a month, that’s almost £3,500 and some blue collar workers can earn as much as £150,000 a year.”

The Emigration Group are specialists in advising Brits on applying for visas and relocating to Australia and New Zealand. Paul Arthur has been advising potential migrants for years and according to him there are now huge opportunities for those looking to move down under.

Paul said: “Blue collar workers here can move down under and enjoy not just a better quality of life but much higher salaries.

“Australia also has skills shortages across the board, so whether you are tradesman, a health professional or an IT expert, you have a great chance to qualify for a visa to live and work down under.”

According to Paul many Brits he’s advised have not only gone to enjoy a better quality of life down under but also seen their careers take off, with many doubling their salaries or going on to run successful businesses.

He said: “Many Brits move down under for a complete life change and a better work life balance, but with the current opportunities migrants can also enjoy higher salaries, better career prospects and a market which is more supportive of business start ups.

“For those thinking of making a move down under, now could be the perfect time.”
