New face to take charge of top Blackpool attraction
New Madame Tussauds Blackpoolo operations manager Greg Pearn
THIS is the new face taking charge of one of Blackpool’s biggest tourist attractions.
Greg Pearn has been appointed by Merlin Entertainments as the new Madame Tussauds Blackpool operations manager.
Greg joins the Tussauds team from its neighbouring attraction Sea Life and brings with him a wealth of leisure management experience following 15 successful years working within the visitor attractions industry.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to this new challenge knowing it will be a completely different experience at Madame Tussauds from Sea Life.
Having previously worked with the Tussauds team, I know they love what they do and I will still be working in a fantastic attraction environment but this time surrounded by celebrities instead of sharks and fish!
“I enjoyed my time immensely at Sea Life and will miss everyone including the awesome creatures. But with my move comes new opportunities including working closely with the team at the Studios in London where they create our world-famous wax figures.”
Madame Tussauds general manger, Matthew Titherington, added: “The whole team are excited for Greg’s arrival having seen first-hand what a fantastic job he has done at Sea Life.”
