A Blackpool recruitment agency has changed its name as part of a National rebranding by the growing company.

The former Premiere People is now known as Cordant People.

Blackpool branch managed to weather the recession well and are very happy to be part of the current buoyancy in the recruitment marketplace

They also have new premises, just four doors up from their old office on Birley St, in the town centre.

Blackpool mayor Coun Val Haynes officially opened tghe new premises during an open day attended by clients and candidates.

Premiere People has been part of the Cordant Group since 2008. At the beginning of last year.

Cordant Group’s chief executive, Phillip Ullman, appointed Steven Kirkpatrick, previously from Adecco, as Cordant recruitment chief executive.

Steven has overseen a restructuring of the Company’s Nationwide brands, with the aim of strengthening its presence in the recruitment marketplace.

Nationally, 250 plus new people have joined the business since the beginning of February last year and offices have opened in Oxford, Leeds, London and Scotland and there are more to come.

The Mayor was keen to hear about the growth within the Blackpool branch.

The company is expanding the team to include an administrator and a further permanent consultant.

Blackpool branch manager, Emma Purdon, said that as Premiere People, the business had been in Blackpool for 25 years and she looks forward to the new era, as Cordant People.

She said: “The service we provide local businesses is bespoke, we are big enough to have the buying power and back office facilities of a very large, global company, yet we have the autonomy to make decisions at branch level and provide whatever the client needs.

“Blackpool branch managed to weather the recession well and are very happy to be part of the current buoyancy in the recruitment marketplace.
