Supermarket giant Morrisons has finally revealed which 11 stores it plans to close, which do not include any stores in East or West Lancashire.
Morrisons had outlined plans for the closures last week as part of a dramatic revamp, but has only now revealed which stores will be hit.
The full list is:
• West Bromwich
• Castletown in Sunderland
• Little Hulton
The group declined to comment on when these stores will close their doors for good.
Chief executive David Potts said last week the decision was made “with great regret”, but added there was no way to make the affected stores “viable”.
He also admitted the supermarket chain faced a “long journey” to improve its fortunes, with pre-tax profits having almost halved in six months.
Morrisons also offloaded 140 M local convenience stores to entrepreneur Mike Greene as it bids concentrate on its larger supermarkets.
Mr Greene pledged there would be no job losses as a result of the deal.
