COUNCILLORS are set to meet to discuss plans to spend £100,000 from the High Street Innovation Fund.
ylde Council was awarded the funding as part of the Portas High Street Review last March, and in November councillors agreed to set up a forum where community groups would apply for a cut of the cash.
The full council, which meets on Monday, will hear how moves to create the Town Centre Forum have been made, and is expected to approve the release of the money so it can be used to improve Fylde town centres.
A report to the council says representatives of Kirkham, Lytham and St Annes town centres attended a meeting, chaired by Fylde Council leader, Coun David Eaves, on February 11 to discuss how the Town Centre Forum would work. Members of the forum will include people from Kirkham and Wesham Business Group, Kirkham Town Council, St Annes Town Council, St Annes Chamber of Trade, Lytham Business Partnership and Fylde Council. Ideas and proposals for the funding will be made to the forum panel.
The full council meets at Lowther Pavilion on Lowther Terrace, Lytham, at 7pm.
