Magnet for new firms unveiled

SPECIALIST property company Forsyth is hoping to kick-start Blackpool's entrepreneurial community after opening a new business centre in the heart of the town.

The centre will be opened at the former council buildings on Queen Street in a bid to help struggling new-start firms.

As well as space for offices, Forsyth also offers office management, such as communications, IT and administrative support.

Forsyth director Scott McCabe said: "We know how difficult it can be in the early days of starting out in business and any support offered you take advantage of.

"I know initiatives like this can help businesses during times of recession. We need to look towards the latest generation of entrepreneurs as a way of moving out of this recession."

Bosses at the company, part of the global property empire, Scarborough Group International, have invested in 24 sites across the UK, including Blackpool, to offer fledgling firms office space.

It is hoped the company's new 11,000 sq ft office, their first in the North West, will attract new business to the town.

Mr McCabe said: "An important part of owning a business is being able to concentrate on solely running your company rather than having the hassle of the issues surrounding the operation of a business base.

"Through Forsyth, companies can seek out the flexibility of terms offered by serviced office providers, which provide simple, flexible property solutions, enabling businesses to focus on their own markets without excessive overheads."

SGI is a global company with bases throughout Europe and the Far East.

Forsyth's continuing UK expansion has seen the company recently open new serviced offices across the country in Darlington, Hemel Hempstead,

Datchet, Tunbridge Wells and Gelderd Point in Leeds.

It also has locations in London's Threadneedle Street, Walton on Thames, Richmond, Watford, Enfield, Exeter, Harrogate, Scarborough and Sheffield.
