A BUSINESSMAN has unveiled plans for a new boutique hotel in the heart of Lytham.

Orlando Perracca wants to transform a former doctor’s surgery and office on Dicconson Terrace into the hotel, complete with a brand new restaurant and bar.

Mr Perracca – who already owns Italian restaurant Portofinos, cocktail bar Mojitos and cafe bar Zest in the town – said the development would provide a “well-designed, high-quality scheme to meet Lytham’s need for new hotel bed space”.

And the plans, which have been lodged with Fylde Council, have been welcomed by Lytham Business Partnership.

Vice-chairman Robert Silverwood said: “I didn’t speak very highly of the hotel proposed for the old Land Registry because I imagined it would be a lot of rooms.

“But if Orlando does things well and if he is going to make this a boutique hotel it will be in-keeping with Lytham.”
