FLEETWOOD Town FC has a new goal – a new business breakfast club.

Highbury Stadium is playing host to local business owners after the recent launch.

The aim of the club is to provide opportunities to businesses who support the football club with networking opportunities, to grow links with the local business community and to provide a platform for businesses to promote their products and services to fellow members.

Martin Booker, head of commercial at the club said: “It’s all about building the association with Fleetwood Town and us as a club adding value to our business relationships. We use many local suppliers for products and services, we have a number of sponsors and advertisers and we have companies keen to get involved with the club during our first season as a member of the Football League.

“This forum brings all these people together and hopefully we can be a vehicle for developing new business contacts for each other – it really is a win-win situation for all concerned.”

A number of businesses attended the launch and are set to sign up as members, a nominal annual membership fee is required to join and a host of benefits are offered by the club as a result.

Jim Baker, business development manager representing Jones Harris, Chartered Accountants from Fleetwood thanked the club for the development. He said: “I’d like to thank the club for a great event. It was a good opportunity to meet everybody and I’m looking forward to next event.”

The next fortnightly meeting is on Thursday March 14.
