Summer has finally arrived, the sun is shining and the UK economy is showing signs of recovery.
And The Gazette is urging businesses across the Fylde coast to make hay while the sun shines – on all fronts!
To mark the arrival of summer The Gazette has launched a campaign to boost business across the Fylde coast and beyond.
Our ‘Summer of Love’ urges Gazette readers to help the local economy by spending their money locally, visiting our local tourist attractions and eating out at local pubs and restaurants.
We want to help businesses on our doorsteps kick-start their summer by helping them to find new customers. We have already launched our Shop Small initiative, which encourages people to spend their cash on their local high street, and support local entrepreneurs by putting their money back into the local community.
Gazette editor Jon Rhodes said: “We are encouraging businesses to use all aspects of our unrivalled reach – we’re so much more than just a newspaper, and we’re reaching more people than ever before.
“The Gazette has been redesigned, offering a fresh, quality platform for advertisers to promote their businesses and for people willing to spend locally to find what they want.
“And our website www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk has a great new look.
“If Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre thrive, The Gazette thrives, too.
“This beautiful coast has a lot to be proud of and there are some great community events to come in the summer months.
“Let’s all work together to make this a summer to remember and give our area a real economic boost at the same time.”
