Care worker Jackie Allan from Home Instead Senior Care Blackpool and Wyre, is a finalist in the Great British Care Awards 2014.
The awards are held each year and recognise and pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
Jackie, from Bispham, has been nominated as a finalist in the Home Care Worker Award category, with entries from across the whole of North West including Manchester and Liverpool, it’s a great achievement to reach the finals. Jackie will learn if she is a winner at a glitzy awards evening being held at Manchester’s Palace Hotel on November 1.
Jackie (pictured) was nominated by her boss Tara McPhee, who has admired her hard work and dedication over the past year.
She is particularly proud of the way in which Jackie is always flexible with her time, always putting her client’s needs first.
Commenting on her nomination, Jackie said: “I feel so lucky to be nominated as it really doesn’t feel like going to work more like spending time with a friend.”
Speaking about Jackie, Tara said: “It is a real honour to make it to the finals of these prestigious awards which celebrate excellence in the care sector. I am very proud of Jackie, who has received nothing but high praise from clients and caregivers alike. We all have our fingers crossed for November 1.”
